We were fortunate enough to take a large group of students to the second inauguration of President Barack Obama. It was a definite bucket list field trip! 

Firsts for the kids: 
first plane ride
first time away from home
first hotel room
first subway ride
first time to see snow
first time to be that cold...

And for all of us it was our first time to witness, in person, the inauguration of a President!
