3D Printing

Middle grades have really enjoyed designing and 3D printing.

We have multiple 3D printers to select from but our

Flashforge Creator Pro continues to be the go-to machine.

Students have increased their knowledge of both

Tinkercad and Autocad, including Fusion 360.

Student Design Helps Out Our Jazz Band!

Our jazz band leader came to our design classroom and asked if we could make him a mouth placement practice piece for his horn students. The idea is that it would replicate the size of the mouthpiece but allow him to see where the lips are placed, allowing the students to find the correct placement. After a series of unsuccessful attempts, we delivered a working model. We ended up printing about 20 pieces in all.
