Spring 26: EPIC Social
 enterprise Project

Our Driving Question: “How can we design, produce, and sell meaningful products that serve our community AND support a cause we care about?”

The EPIC Social Enterprise Project—Creating Entrepreneurs, Producers, Innovators, and Changemakers—was our middle school Project Based Learning experience where students explored how businesses can make both a profit and a positive impact on the world.

Inspired by real-world social enterprise companies such as Bombas, Ben & Jerry's, and Patagonia, students researched ethical companies, developed original products, created marketing campaigns, built displays and prepared professional elevator pitches for our Public Exhibition of Learning.

Throughout the project, students worked collaboratively through the design process while learning about entrepreneurship, branding, sustainability, philanthropy, and community impact. The experience culminated in a student-run marketplace where visitors interacted with student businesses, purchased products, and saw firsthand how young innovators can use creativity and compassion to become changemakers in their community.

During our one-hour, pop-up social enterprise raised a whopping $1235.50!
